چکیده
The problem of separating convolutive mixtures of unknown time series arises in several application domains, a prominent example being the so-called cocktail party problem, where we want to recover the speech signals of multiple speakers who are simultaneously talking in a room. The room may be very reverberant due to reflections on the walls, i.e., the original source signals sq(n), q = 1, . . . , P of our separation problem are filtered by a multiple input and multiple output (MIMO) system before they are picked up by the sensors xp, p = 1, . . . , P . An M -tap mixing system is thus described by

A comparison between modal damping ratios identified by NExT-ERA and frequency domain impact test
In this research, the modal parameters of a beam in free-free condition are extracted by performing different experiments in laboratory. For this purpose, two different techniques are employed. The first methodology is considered as a time domain method in Operational Modal Analysis. While the other one is frequency domain impact hammer test which is categorized as an Experimental Modal Analysi...
متن کاملModulation domain blind source separation for noisy speech mixture
In this paper, we propose a noise-robust blind speech separation (BSS) method by using two microphones. We first use modulation domain real and imaginary spectral subtraction (MRISS) to enhance both magnitude and phase spectra of the speech mixture inputs. We then estimate the direction of arrivals (DOAs) of the speech sources and perform time-acoustic-modulation frequency masking to recover th...
متن کاملPartial Separation Method for Solving
7 This paper addresses the well known permutation problem in frequency domain 8 blind source separation. The proposed method uses correlation between two signals 9 in each DFT bin to solve the permutation problem. One of the signals is par10 tially separated by a time domain blind source separation method and the other 11 is obtained by the frequency domain blind source separation method. Two d...
متن کاملDiscretized Adjoint State Time and Frequency Domain Full Waveform Inversion: A Comparative Study
This study derives the discretized adjoint states full waveform inversion (FWI) in both time and frequency domains based on the Lagrange multiplier method. To achieve this, we applied adjoint state inversion on the discretized wave equation in both time domain and frequency domain. Besides, in this article, we introduce reliability tests to show that the inversion is performing as it should be ...
متن کاملBlind Source Separation of Convolutive Mixtures of Speech in Frequency Domain
This paper overviews a total solution for frequencydomain blind source separation (BSS) of convolutive mixtures of audio signals, especially speech. Frequency-domain BSS performs independent component analysis (ICA) in each frequency bin, and this is more efficient than time-domain BSS. We describe a sophisticated total solution for frequency-domain BSS, including permutation, scaling, circular...
